Oscar Reyes earned his Master of Social Work from Idaho State University. He is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) working toward his clinical licensure. Oscar is trained in EMDR and incorporates approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gestalt therapy into his work. His approach is compassionate and individualized, helping clients better understand themselves, navigate difficult experiences, and develop practical tools to support their emotional well-being.
Oscar is excited to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, changes in faith or spiritual beliefs, and LGBTQIA+ related concerns. He strives to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. Through therapy, he helps clients explore their emotions, recognize patterns that may be affecting their lives, and build healthier ways of coping with challenges. EMDR can help clients process distressing experiences, DBT offers practical skills for managing emotions and stress, IFS encourages greater understanding and compassion toward different parts of oneself, and Gestalt therapy promotes awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the present moment. Oscar is bilingual in Spanish and English and offers sessions in both languages.
Outside of work, Oscar enjoys playing soccer, running, walking, and training in martial arts. He also enjoys reading, watching movies, and exploring delicious food.
